Thomas Emde concentrates on advising the Mittelstand including family offices and financial service providers in corporate and contractual matters as well in regulatory matters. He has a long-standing experience and expertise in rendering advice to the financial industry (including large corporates and asset managers) as well as in transaction management and pursuing clients interest in contentious matters.

Thomas started his professional career as counsel of DZ Bank and was subsequently promoted as senior manager in the investment banking division of DZ Bank. In 1991 he joined one of the leading German (now international) law firms and acted as partner and subsequently as of counsel for over 30 years. During most of this period he was also active as head of the supervisory board of various credit institutions (including Main First Bank AG, now Stifel Europe Bank AG, Bremer Kreditbank AG and Oldenburgische Landesbank AG). Recently he has been appointed as member of the supervisory board of der Société Générale Securities Services GmbH. Furthermore he is a prominent author and issuer of law books and other publications.
